Identification and analysis of the complete cDNA sequence for the human FAC1 gene

Abstract
The complete cDNA sequence for the FAC1 gene has been isolated from human fetal brain. The FAC1 cDNA encodes for a protein of 810 amino acids that contains a putative Zn2+-finger binding domain, nuclear transport signals and a charged acidic domain that may function in protein-protein interactions. Identification of the complete cDNA and protein sequence of FAC1 permits further insight into potential functions for this developmentally regulated gene product.
